SARAH’s STORY
Brisbane law student, Sarah Gapp, suffered a severe stroke weeks after her 21st birthday and had to have 60% of her cerebellum removed. Sarah was left with a condition called locked-in syndrome where her perfectly aware mind is unable to comunicate with her body.
Only 1 in 100,000 people ever come out of locked-in syndrome, but Sarah’s will and determination has seen her defy the odds and regain some speech and movement. With little help from the medical system Sarah desperately needs funds to learn to swallow and walk, two things we take for granted everyday.
Help us raise $30,000 for sarah by joining us this weekend to break the world record for the largest pilates class and help a true Aussie battler.
