Class Descriptions

We have a wide variety of Group Fitness Classes to choose from, so you are sure to find one to suit your interests and get you on your way to achieving your fitness goals!

Les Mills Classes:

Body Pump - Challenges all of your major muscle groups by using the best weight room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.

Body Attack – High-energy interval training classes which combine athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilisation exercises. 

Body Balance – Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Body Combat – This fiercely energetic  class is inspired by martial arts and is drawn from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, tae kwon do, tai chi and muay thai.

Body Step – Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step you get a huge motivation from sing-along music and approachable instructors.

Other Cove Health 1st Classes:

 Retired Athletes (over 55) - Let our expert instructors re-lengthen you into increased mobility. You’ll find the benefits speak for themselves as aches and injuries diminish.

Pilates - A series of exercises based on the work of Joseph Pilates. Strengthen & lengthen muscles with a focus on the body CORE.

Yoga – Unite your mind, body and spirit with our relaxing and enlightening yoga classes. “Not only will your body be thanking you, your mind will be too” members-$5 per class, non members $15 per class.

Military Assault -  Ex– Section Commander Craig Vowles will take you through some amazing workouts.   Increase your strength and endurance, burn a tonne of calories and watch your body change!

Spin - Cycle away to the beats of good music, cross terrains and kill heaps of calories. Push yourself, see what your made of. Maximum 12 per class

Abs – A range of exercises dedicated to strengthening and shaping your core.
